How to: Protect a worksheet in a workbook.
Solution:
Select the worksheet and select 'Protection' from the 'Tools' menu. Select 'Protect Sheet...' and select protection options.
1) Select the worksheet to protect.
2) Select the 'Tools' menu and select 'Protection'. (A submenu appears.)
3) Select 'Protect Sheet...' from the submenu. (The Protect Sheet dialog box appears.)
4) (Optional) Type a password in the 'Password' box.
5) Do one or more of the following:
a) Select the 'Contents' check box to prevent changes to cells on the worksheet.
b) Select the 'Objects' check box to prevent changes to graphic objects on the worksheet.
c) Select the 'Scenarios' check box to prevent changes to the definitions of scenarios on the worksheet.
6) Click 'OK'.
NOTE: If a password was entered in Step 4), the 'Confirm Password' dialog box appears.
7) (Optional) Type the same password in the 'Reenter Protection Password' box of the 'Confirm Password' dialog box.
8) (Optional) Click 'OK'.
